The smartphone companies venturing into the TV segment seems to be gaining traction. After Xiaomi, Oppo is following suit and is all set to launch its smart TV in China on September 26. As per a launch event poster shared by the company, Oppo will be launching its K9 Pro smartphone along with another product called Oppo Smart TV K9.
This will be the company’s fourth model in the TV segment as it has already launched the Smart TV in the K9 series in March which comes with three display sizes – 43-inch, 55-inch,
and 65-inch. The newest entrant in this segment is the 75-inch display model which will be the high-end product in the series.
Reports suggest that the device could come powered by MediaTek MT9652 chipset which consist of four ARM Cortex-A73 CPU cores and ARM Mali-G52 MC1 GPU which is the same as the 65-inch model that was already launched in China. It will come with 16GB of internal storage and support Wi-Fi as well as Bluetooth 5.0 as connectivity options.
