Over 5 Crore Income Tax Returns Filed Till July 26

The Income Tax Department has said that over 5 crore Income Tax Returns (ITRs) have been filed for the current assessment year, representing an 8 percent increase from the previous

year.

In a social media post on Saturday, the department said that it received over 28 lakh ITRs just yesterday.
