New |Delhi: For the twelfth time in less than two weeks, the prices of petrol and diesel were hiked on Monday. The cost of both petrol and diesel was hiked by 40 paise per litre, taking the total hike over the last two weeks to Rs 8.40 per litre.

While petrol and diesel were retailing at Rs 95.41 and Rs 86.67 a litre respectively in



Delhi on March 21, now petrol costs Rs 103.81 and diesel Rs 95.07 per litre in the national capital.

The rates had remained unchanged for a record four and a half months from November 2021 up until the third week of March. Ever since, the prices have been on an upward spiral.
