Piyush Goyal asks Plastic industry to increase turnover

New Delhi: Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has asked the Plastic manufacturing industry to increase their turnover to 10 lakh crore rupees from present level of three lakh crore rupees in next five years. Mr Goyal said, plastic industry is one of the biggest generator of employment in the country. He said, it should now aim to double the employment in five years time. The Minister asked the plastic industry participants to focus on quality. He said, in order to compete globally, world class machinery needs to be used for all kinds of production.
