Piyush Goyal sets USD 100 billion target for jewellery exports

Dubai: Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has exhorted Gems and Jewellery industry to triple their exports target from 35 billion US dollar to 100 billion US Dollar.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Indian Jewellery Exposition Centre in Dubai on Tuesday, Mr. Goyal said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always



focused on the Gems and Jewellery sector and aims to make India number one in this sector. He said, focus is not only the Made in India but also designed in India jewellery. He said, jewellery has been part of our culture and tradition and represents as a symbol of style and status in the society.
