In Haryana, the procurement of pulses and oilseeds crops of Kharif season will start from October 1. This includes crops of moong, groundnut, tur, urad and sesame. The crops will be procured at the minimum support price announced by the Central Government. HAFED will also participate in the procurement process.
According to the procurement program, moong will be procured from October 1 to November 15 and groundnut from November 1 to December 31. Apart from this, oilseeds and pulses crops including tur, urad and sesame will be procured from December 1 to December 31.

Secretary Dr. T.V.S.N. Prasad reviewed the preparations for procurement of crops for the marketing season 2024-25 in Chandigarh and emphasized on starting the procurement of crops on time and making adequate arrangements for storage and gunny bags etc. in the mandis.
Dr. Prasad said that this time the production of Kharif crops is expected to increase in Haryana. He said that the production of 27 thousand 197 tonnes of moong, 238 tonnes of tur, 85 tonnes of urad, 471 tonnes of sesame and 9 thousand 668 tonnes of peanuts is estimated
