Pune: Jaguar Land Rover, the British luxury car maker owned by Tata Motors, on Tuesday opened bookings for its Range Rover Velar facelift for the Indian market.
The SUV will be launched in the coming months when the price will be revealed and deliveries are scheduled in September.
The second facelift of the Range Rover Velar debuted globally back in February.
This time it gets more cosmetic updates as the first one got mechanical updates. The Range Rover Velar has been on sale in India since 2018.
The Range Rover Velar facelift gets subtle cosmetic tweaks, including new pixel LED headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights, redesigned tail lights and an updated rear bumper.
Inside, the Velar adopts the new
dashboard design from the Range Rover. It features a clean and minimalistic look with a new 11.4-inch curved touchscreen in the centre running Land Rover's Pivi Pro system.
The Velar facelift is powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine which produces 247 BHP and 365 Nm of torque. With a claimed top speed of 217kph, the SUV can accelerate from 0-100kph in 7.5 seconds.
The SUV is also available in a 2.0-litre diesel engine mated to a mild-hybrid system that produces 201BHP and 430Nm of torque. With a claimed top speed of 210kph, the SUV can sprint from 0-100kph within 8.3 seconds.
The Velar is equipped with air suspension that lowers the ride height by 40 mm in 'Elegant Arrival' mode. It has a water-wading depth of 580 mm.
