RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das conferred with ‘Governor of the year’ Award at Central Banking Awards 2023

Reserve Bank Governor Shaktikanta Das has received the 'Governor of the Year' 2023 Award by the international publication Central Banking. 

Mr. Das is at the helm of the central bank since December 2018. He has been given the award for steering the financial markets through multiple crises including the



pandemic and the inflation due to the war in Ukraine.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Mr. Das on getting the Governor of the Year Award. In a tweet, Mr Modi said, it is a matter of immense pride for the country that Mr Das has been conferred with the award.
