RBI to announce its bi-monthly monetary policy today

Mumbai: The Reserve Bank of India will announce its bi-monthly monetary policy today. RBI governor Shaktikanta Das will announce the Monetary policy at 10 am. The three day meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee began on Wednesday. The MPC, a six-member team headed by RBI governor Shaktikanta Das, is in



charge of deciding the key policy rates. 

After the June MPC meeting, the Reserve Bank of India had left the repo rate unchanged at 4 per cent. It was for the sixth time in a row that the MPC maintained the status quo on interest rates.
