Retail inflation at 3.28 percent in September

Retail inflation stood at 3(point)28 percent in September this year, unchanged from August.

Retail inflation had stood at 4.39 percent in September last year.According to Central Statistics Office data, overall food



inflation moderated to 1.25 percent in September. 

Retail inflation in vegetables softened to 3.92 percent. Pulses and products saw deflation, or a fall in prices of 22.51 percent during the month under review.
