Mumbai: The benchmark BSE Sensex jumped over 207 points to 25,913.14 in early trade on Wednesday on across-the-board buying and tracking rally in global markets.
The 30-share index, which had lost 150.77 points in the previous session, was up 207.21 points, or 0.80 per cent, to 25,913.14.
The Nifty too soared
53.20 points, or 0.68 per cent, to 7,882.30.
Among other Asian markets, Japan’s Nikkei surged 0.97 per cent and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was up 1.08 per cent while the Shanghai Composite index edged up 0.15 per cent in early trade.
The U.S. Dow Jones Industrial Average ended 1.40 per cent higher in Tuesday’s trade.
