New Delhi: Tourism and Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy has said that the service sector is the future of India. Speaking at the diamond jubilee ceremony of the Institute of Hotel Management Catering and Nutrition (IHM) in Delhi, Mr Reddy asserted that next one year is going to be a game changer for the hospitality sector as India hosts the G20 summit.
The Minister said, G20 constitutes 85 percent of world GDP, 85 percent world population will be hosted by India and the country will
leave no stone unturned to live by its century-old philosophy 'Atithi Devo Bhava'. The Minister highlighted that even though the hospitality sector was adversely impacted by the pandemic but now it has revived well.
He also said that India is now importing covid vaccines to over 100 countries. He asserted that an increase in trade will directly impact the service and hospitality sector as it increases footfall to the country.
