Total 579 routes connecting 85 airports operationalised in country under UDAN Scheme: MoS for Civil Aviation

A total of 579 routes connecting 85 airports including 13 heliports and 2 water aerodromes have been operationalised in the country under the UDAN Scheme. This was stated by Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Murilidhar Mohol in a written reply in Rajya



Sabha. 

The Minister said, the central government has accorded In-Principle approval for setting up 21 new Greenfield airports across the country. Out of these, 12 Greenfield airports were operationalised in the last 10 years.
