The new Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X were launched in India at Bajaj Auto’s Akurdi premises in Pune. They will be available at Triumph exclusive showrooms by month-end.
The Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X are designed by Triumph and will be produced in Bajaj Auto’s new Chakan plant. They will be available at an exclusive Triumph dealer network, which will be rapidly ramped up to more than 100 dealerships across 80 cities within this fiscal year.
Speed 400 is priced at `2.33 lakh (ex showroom Delhi). However, the company announced a special inaugural price of `2.23 lakh for the first 10,000 customers. The Scrambler 400x will be available in showrooms by October. The price will be disclosed closer to the start of sales.
Customers can book online at www.triumphmotorcyclesindia.com/booking and reserve their Triumph
by paying a refundable token advance of `2,000. Customers living in cities where the dealerships are yet to open can register interest and the Triumph contact centre will keep them posted on availability.
The Speed 400 roadster joins Triumph’s successful modern classic line-up, the Speed Twin 900 and 1200 while the Scrambler 400 X takes its rugged design cues from the Scrambler 900 and 1200. Conceived and designed in Hinckley, UK, these two new additions have been developed with the same attention to detail as Triumph’s celebrated models.
The Speed 400’s is available in Carnival Red, Caspian Blue and Phantom Black colours. The Scrambler 400 X is available in Matt Khaki Green and Fusion White, Carnival Red and Phantom Black, plus Phantom Black and Silver Ice options, said a release.
