17-year-old girl raped by teacher in Shamshabad

A 17-year-old Intermediate student was allegedly raped by a teacher of a government school in Shamshabad.

Police have registered a case of rape on Thursday following a complaint lodged by the victim’s father.The accused, Akbar (40), works in the government primary school in Muchintal village in Shamshabad mandal and sexually exploited the minor girl twice. The issue came to light after she informed her parents about her ordeal.

The accused took her to an isolated area on May 5 and raped



her.

This wasn’t the first time Akbar had exploited the girl. He had lured the girl two months ago and forced himself on her.

Police are not revealing much on Akbar, a resident of Shabad mandal in Ranga Reddy district.

He was booked under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), relevant sections of POCSO Act and SC/ ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. The matter is being investigated thoroughly, a police official said.
