17-year old girl sexually assaulted by friend in Noida

A 17-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a group of men, including her minor friend who offered her a lift from her school in northeast Delhi’s Bhajanpura area and took her to an apartment in Noida.

In her complaint, the girl told police that the incident took place on March 31 but she did not disclose it to anyone earlier as the accused had recorded the act on a video and threatened her



with dire consequences if she reported the matter, a senior police official said on Sunday.

On March 31, as she was returning from school, her teenage friend offered her a lift in his car and later some men joined, who allegedly forced her to come with them to a flat in Noida and forced themselves on her.

A case has been registered and some people have been detained for questioning, the official said.
