19-yr-old arrested for impregnating minor girl in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Borabanda police arrested a 19-year-old for cheating on a minor girl and raping her, which left her pregnant. He allegedly tried to kill the victim and her daughter, Borabanda station house officer K. Ravi Kumar said. The girl and her child are staying with her mother.

Police said the accused stalked and harassed the victim for three years to accept his proposal. When she did, he abused her physically and raped her multiple



times.

Police said that in 2021, the accused took her to a religious place after she wrote her last SSC exam and ‘married’ her. The victim later gives birth to a girl. The accused tried to kill the infant and the victim several times. He also beat up the girl's parents.

Police said the accused used to work as a helper in a private company at Madhapur, but got addicted to ganja and quit the job.
