25-year old man rapes minor, held

Hyderabad: Hayathnagar police arrested a 25-year-old factory worker for kidnapping and sexually exploiting a minor girl by promising to marry her. The accused, Rajesh is machine operator at a plastic bags manufacturing unit at Kundanpally near Shamirpet. Promising to marry her, Rajesh kidnapped the 17-year-old girl who was his former colleague at a factory in Hayathnagar.

On November 25, Rajesh came to victim’s house and



took her to Kundanpally. He raped her at factory staff quarters. Two days later, he dropped her at Hayathnagar bus stop. On her return, parents complained to the police about rape and cops launched a manhunt for Rajesh. At 6am, police received an alert about Rajesh’s visit to Kundanpally and arrested him from the factory. During interrogation, Rajesh confessed to having committed the crime and was sent to judicial remand.
