3 arrested in Lasya murder case

Hyderabad: The Sanatnagar police arrested three persons in relation to the murder of four-year-old, Lasya, at Deen Dayal Nagar a week ago.The victim was the daughter of carpenter Naveen and Mayuri. On Wednesday, Naveen lodged a complaint with the Sanatnagar police saying that his daughter was missing.Even as police were searching for the missing girl, locals found her semi-decomposed body inside the locked house of Naveen's neighbour. Enraged locals then thrashed the neighbours and handed them over to



the police. Two members of Naveen's neighbour's family were hospitalized."Naveen's neighbours Narasimha and Yadgiri were behind the murder. They hold a grudge against the family of Naveen due to some petty quarrels. On Wednesday, they killed the girl by smothering and later hitting her on the head with an iron rod. We have arrested Narasimha, his wife Padma, and their neighbour Yadgiri. Two other accused, who are currently in hospital, are yet to be arrested," Sanatnagar inspector K Sudershan Reddy said.
