Three persons including the former employee of a cash management services company were arrested by the Keesara police on Monday for stealing Rs 47.37 lakh cash deposited in an ATM at Nagaram.
On December 21, the Keesara police received a complaint from Mr Maryada Krishna Reddy, assistant manager of the NCR Corporation India Private Limited, located at Begumpet, stating that Rs 47,37,700 that was supposed to deposited in an ATM of Karur Vysya Bank at Nagaram had gone missing and they suspected the role of a former employee of another cash management service company.
The police registered a case
under and collected technical evidence including footage of CCTV cameras from the ATM, and found a person had removed cash by opening the lock of the chest. The Keesara police said one Sai Ram Sai Kiran, 26, of Yapral, who earlier worked with the company, was identified as the accused.
Kiran, while working with the company, had access to the keys of the ATM chest. He used the keys to steal the cash and deposited it into the bank accounts of his girlfriend Pooja and friend T. Nagaraju. Police recovered Rs 40,24,909 and a car, three cheque books and passbooks from the trio.
