30-yr-old woman consumes 130 pills, ends life in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A 30-year-old woman was found dead in her home at Madhavapuri Hills Colony under the Ameenpur police station limits. She was found to have consumed 130 sleeping pills, according to Ameenpur police. The victim has been identified as Reena, who got married three years ago but got divorced a few years ago due to some marital disputes, the police said adding that she was reportedly taking medicines for her depression following advice from a doctor.

The incident came to light on Monday morning when she did not wake



up. She was staying with her parents who found her in an unconscious state. They rushed her to the hospital where she was declared brought dead, sub-inspector Sada Nagaraju said. 

Doctors revealed that Reena had consumed a total of 130 sleeping tablets to control her depression and suspected to have died in her sleep. However, no suicide note was found at the scene. The police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.
