5-yr-old Girl Abducted from Sleep, Raped in Andhra Pradesh

Kakinada: A five-year-old girl, who has been sleeping with her parents on the verandah of her house, was allegedly abducted, raped and abandoned in the Nuziveedu mandal. Though the news of the brutal incident came out, the police officials have yet to respond to the queries and explain the details of the crime. The condition of the girl remains critical. 

According to sources, the minor girl was sleeping with her father and mother, outside the house, when the culprits abducted her in the wee hours of Monday. The parents, however, did not notice the kidnappers, they said. When they later



found out that their daughter was missing, they started searching for her and found her abandoned in an oil palm garden in the area. 

The accused had fled the scene before she was found. It is also not clear if more than one person was involved in the crime. As soon as the girl was found attacked in the garden, she was taken to the Government Hospital at Nuziveedu. At the hospital, the doctors confirmed that she was sexually assaulted. Since the girl’s condition was critical, she was shifted to another hospital in Vijayawada.
