7-year-old girl harasses by 46-year-old neighbour in Hyderabad

A 7-year-old minor was sexually harassed on Sunday night by her 46-year-old neighbour in Chatrinaka. 

According to the police, the accused was identified as Mateen Khan, an autorickshaw driver who is the girl’s neighbour.

On Sunday night, he lured the girl under the pretext of offering her a chocolate, and started misbehaving with



her.

However, the girl’s relatives noticed the incident and raised an alarm, said the Chatrinaka police inspector, Vidyasagar Reddy. 

“Upon hearing her family approaching, Mateen fled. Based on a complaint, we have booked cases under relevant Sections of IPC and POCSO Act,” police said.
