Businessman arrested for drunk driving that killed woman in Hyderabad

The Madhapur Police arrested a businessman for his alleged involvement in an accident that resulted in the death of a software professional.

The man, Kasa Srujan Kumar, (28) of Vivekananda Nagar in Kukatpally allegedly drove his SUV in a rash and negligent manner and hit a motorcycle that had stopped at a traffic signal. Jennifer Maria Dcruz (24), who



was pillion riding on the bike, died on the spot while her friend T Ajay sustained injuries and is undergoing treatment at a hospital after the incident on Sunday morning.

“Srujan Kumar was driving the car in an inebriated condition and rammed the motorcycle at high speed. Soon after the incident, he abandoned the car and fled the spot,” police said.
