Class 4 student dies allegedly after being slapped by teacher in UP

A Class 4th student who was admitted to hospital after being slapped by teacher passed away in Uttar Pradesh's Ballia district on Thursday morning.

Based on the complaint filed by victim's parents, a FIR has been registered. The teacher and school manager were named in the FIR. In the FIR, the father claimed that the teacher slapped his daughter after she failed to answer a



question.

She was taken to the Banaras Hindu University hospital in Varanasi, where she died while receiving treatment.

Speaking to ANI, Anil Kumar,Ballia SP said 'A case has been registered against the accused teacher on complaint of victim's parents'.

A case has been registered against the accused teacher on charges of culpable homicide and voluntarily causing hurt.
