Karnataka: The murder of two women, whose decapitated bodies were discovered separately here early this month, has prompted Mandya police to offer a Rs 1 lakh reward for any information.
On June 8, different places close to a water canal held the corpses removed from the torso. Only the lowest sections were discovered to have partially degraded.
Sources claim that the offenders cut off the upper halves of the bodies, but the bottom halves in gunny bags, and discarded them in two different water canals.
According to reports, the dead ladies were between the ages of 30 and 35. One body was found in the Baby
Lake canal next to K. Bettanahalli, while the other was discovered in the CDS Canal close to the town of Arakere.
As word of the incident spread, panic seized the area.
Police believe that the ladies were killed in various states, then their corpses were dismembered, and the bodies were dumped into bodies of water to wipe up any potential evidence.
The upper halves of the bodies could not be found despite the start of a manhunt. Despite the fact that specialized police teams have been assembled to look into the case, they are unable to identify the victims.
Further investigation is on.
