Couple dead in car mishap at Shamirpet

Hyderabad: A couple was killed and their daughter sustained injuries when the car they were travelling in rammed into a truck at Shamirpet this morning.

The incident took place at around 8 a.m, when the man Satish Kumar (45) of S.R. Nagar was coming to the city along with his wife Srilatha (40) and their daughter in a car from Karimnagar.

10pt;">"The truck driver suddenly stopped his vehicle at Turkapally. Satish, who was following the truck rammed into it. Death was instant for the couple," Inspector Shamirpet, T. Sattiah said. The injured woman was shifted to a hospital for treatment.

Soon after the accident the truck driver ran away leaving behind his vehicle.
