Hyderabad: A couple and their four-year-old daughter were found dead in a suspected murder-suicide in their rented house at Gangaputra colony, Warasiguda police said on Thursday.
Police suspect that Koppula Saikrishna, 35, and his wife Chitralekha, 30, could have first killed their child Tejaswini and later died by suicide.
On a wall in the house were written names of three employees of a science exhibition centre, where Chitralekha was employeed, saying that they were responsible for the family to take the extreme step.
Warasiguda SHO P. Shankar said that the reasons for the suicide are not known.
Saikrishna, Nellore
native, had lost his job in a private company and had joined a ride aggregator. Chitralekha had stopped going to the science centre a month ago.
House owner Venugopal, who alerted the police on Thursday morning, said that the couple had been residing since a year.
Thursday midnight he heard loud noises from the TV in Saikrishna’s portion and called them but there was no response.
"I assumed they might have fallen asleep. On Thursday morning, when I heard the same noise, I called them over the phone and knocked on the door. As there was no response, I informed the police," said Venugopal.
