A criminal case has been registered against BJP MLA T Raja Singh by the Golconda police for allegedly trying to create enmity through hate speeches.
On Saturday, one person from Golconda lodged a complaint with the police alleging that Singh had been trying to create enmity between two communities.
“In a hate speech posted on the YouTube on July 9, 2015, the MLA had outraged the feelings of a community. In another speech published on the YouTube on December 28, 2015, he gave a provocative speech deliberately hurting religious feelings. On
February 2, 2016, a statement of the MLA was published on YouTube, in which he used filthy language against the community threatening bloodshed. Again on December 15, 2017, a video posted on YouTube showed Raja Singh using derogatory words to promote hate and disharmony between different religious groups,” the complainant alleged.
Golconda police registered a case against Singh under sections 153-A (promoting enmity between classes) and 295-A (maliciously insulting religion or religious feelings) of IPC. The case is under investigation.
