Driver arrested for kidnap and sexual assault of minor girl in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A driver was arrested for kidnapping and sexually assaulting a minor girl in the limits of Mokila police station. The incident came to light after the girl's father lodged a complaint on Sunday.

According to inspector Naresh, the victim, a tenth-grade student, was found to be in a relationship with the accused, Mohd Asif, who worked as a driver, for over a year.

"When the girl went missing for almost 25



days, a missing person complaint was filed on November 16. After a thorough technical investigation, we located the two of them in a rented house. 

The girl was sent for medical examination, and a case has been 

registered under sections 417, 420, 363, 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and sections 5 and 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act.
