Driver attempts to sexually assault minor girl

A 24-year-old ambulance driver lured a minor girl offering custard apples and attempted to assault her sexually. Alert locals came to the rescue of the girl and caught the accused, thrashed him and handed him to the police.The incident took place in Narsingi police limits on Friday. Narsingi SI Ch Dhanunjay said the accused Suresh works as ambulance drive and came to Narsingi to meet his friend. As his friend was not available at his home, Suresh waited at the residence



and noticed the minor playing in front of her residence.

“Suresh lured the girl by offering custard apples and took her to a place where he attempted to assault her sexually. As the victim started screaming, locals reached there and caught Suresh. They thrashed him before handed him over to us,” the SI said. Police shifted the accused to the police station and questioned him. During the questioning, the accused allegedly confessed his offence.
