Hyderabad: An auto driver was booked for slamming his three-year-old child against an auto during an altercation with his wife at Jagadgirigutta on Monday. Ironically, the incident happened in the presence of policemen. Later, Cyberabad police took him into custody.
Shiva Goud, an auto driver from Srinivasanagar Colony in Jagadgirigutta, was married to Anusha and they have a three-year-old son, Ritwik. Shiva was having an affair with a woman, Durga, also from Jagadgirigutta.
When he was with Durga, Anusha reached there with Ritwik in the early hours of Monday. The two women had an argument with Shiva, who was in an inebriated condition, on the street.
Shiva
threatened to harm the children of Durga. Alerted by her, a police patrol team reached there. Infuriated with the two women quarrelling and police arriving there, Shiva picked up his son Ritwik and slammed him against the parked auto. “The boy suffered internal injuries and we shifted him to Niloufer Hospital for treatment. The boy is out of danger,” Jagadgirigutta inspector P Srinivas said.
Though Anusha refused to lodge a complaint against her husband, police registered a case against Shiva (Crime number 408/2018) under Section 9(1)(a) of the Child Care & Protection Act, 2005 and Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act. He was taken into custody.
