Father rapes 16-year old daughter

Shabad police arrested a 40 year old farm labourer for sexually assaulting and impregnating his daughter. The victim is a 16 year old class 10 student and she has a younger sister. The girls lost their mother in 2007.

“The victim's father hacked his wife to death but he was acquitted as the witnesses turned hostile during trial,“ Shabad SI M Ravi Kumar



said. 

“For several months, the accused was sexually exploiting his daughter. She did not tell anyone about the assault. However, due to bodily changes, her aunt and local Asha group workers realised that she was pregnant,“ the SI said. A case was registered under sections 376 (2) (i) (n) (o), 506 of the IPC and POCSO ACT, 2012.
