Former BJP MLA Jayanti Bhanushali shot dead in Express train

A former BJP lawmaker from Gujarat Jayanti Bhanushali was shot dead in first class coach of Bhuj - Mumbai Sayajinagari Express train late last night.

The incident occurred when train was passing on Surajbari to Katariya stretch in Maliya Miyana area. His personal revolver has also been recovered from the



spot. Police are investigating the incident.

The former MLA had also served as BJP Kutch district president and State Vice President.

He had resigned as the Vice president of Gujarat BJP after a FIR against him in an alleged rape case.
