A 16-year-old student of an Urdu medium school committed suicide on Wednesday evening and died while undergoing treatment at a hospital. The deceased girl was a Class 10 student in GBHS high school in Kurmaguda and a resident of Singareni Colony.
According to police, she returned from school at around 6pm on Wednesday and went to the bathroom after 20 minutes. “She was in the bathroom for nearly half an hour. Her elder brother who was studying in the hall asked her come out as he wanted to use the bathroom. However, she did not reply. He banged the door. After a while, he
called his mother and broke open the door and found her lying unconscious on the floor,” said Inspector K. Sattaiah, Saidabad police station.
Neha was admitted to Focus Hospital in Champapet, where she died while undergoing treatment. Later, her body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem.
According to police, an empty bottle of poison was found in the bathroom. A case was registered under Section 174 of the Code Of Criminal Procedure. “We found a phone inside the washroom and are checking it.
