Girl raped in Delhi's Swaroop Nagar

New Delhi: In a horrific incident reported at North-West Delhi's Swaroop Nagar, a 17-year-old girl was raped and her minor cousin was murdered allegedly by a man known to the family on Saturday.

At the time of the incident, the girl's seven-year-old brother was also present at home and was sleeping. He woke up and saw his sister crying in pain and alerted their landlady as



their parents were not present at home. The landlady then called the police control room.

The accused Raju is on the run. According to the landlady, he had moved in with the victim’s family on November 2, 2015. "Raju worked in a clay oven unit. When we asked about him, the girl's parents told us that they would get their daughter married to him," she said.
