Girl raped in UP village

Ballia (UP): A 15-year-old Dalit girl was allegedly raped by a 22-year-old man in a village in the district, police said on Monday.

The accused identified as Sarvjeet Bind has been arrested and is in judicial custody.

House Officer of Bairia police station, Dharamveer Singh, said the survivor was alone in her house on July 13 when the accused called her out on the pretext of some work and took her to a secluded place where he allegedly raped her.
