The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) seized 105 grams of gold worth over Rs 3.1 lakh from a passenger at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad here on Wednesday.

CISF Assistant Sub-Inspector Ashwin Kumar found a suspicious item in the bag of the passenger who was flying to Chennai by an Indigo flight. On checking him thoroughly, the



passenger was found to be carrying seven pieces of gold weighing 105 grams.

The gold was smuggled from Malaysia in another flight on Tuesday, they said. CISF officials handed over the recovered gold to Customs officials for necessary action. CISF IG CV Anand appreciated the efforts of the personnel and rewarded them.
