Hyderabad: Couple jumps off temple roof fearing threat to life by family

In the backdrop of recent killings of a dalit boy by the girl's family in Nalgonda, a couple tried to attempt suicide by jumping from the top of the Sri Chakra Complex on Yadadri hill shrine.

The couple belonged to Alwal in Hyderabad.

The couple has been dating since last three years. The girl's family was against the couple because of which they



eloped on September 28.

The girl's family had lodged a missing complaint and had reached the temple town after getting information about them. The couple, afraid, decided to kill themselves and jumped off the Sri Chakra Complex.

The couple has been shifted to Hyderabad's Gandhi Hospital for treatment. Both of them suffered spinal injuries and fractures.
