Intermediate student commits suicide in Hyderabad

An intermediate first year student, Pradeep Reddy (16), of Sri Chaitanya College, was found hanging in his hostel room on the college premises at Hydernagar in Miyapur late on Friday. Police suspect he was depressed and committed suicide.

Pradeep is suspected to have hanged himself from the ceiling after his roommate left. His friends grew



suspicious when there was no response even after repeatedly knocking on the door and alerted the hostel authorities. They broke it open and found him dead. Police said Pradeep’s family alleged negligence on part of the college management and held it responsible for his death. However, a complaint was yet to be lodged.
