Kid falls into sump in Gachibowli in Hyderabad, dies

Hyderabad: An LKG student named Chandu was found dead in an underground sump that was nine-feet-deep in Gachibowli on Tuesday. Police informed that Chandu had been missing since Monday evening.

Chandu's parents Ramaswamy and Sujatha from Mahabubnagar had shifted to Hyderabad a year ago and have another two children. Police said that Chandu's mother informed that the boy went missing on Monday. After a night-long



search, the family informed the police. But neighbour Srinivas on Tuesday opened the temporary cover of the sump to fill water when he found Chandu's body.

Police stated that the neighbour had arranged a temporary cover for the sump whent the cover went missing, but it was apparently not strong that likely led to the mishap. The body was recovered and handed over to the parents.
