Man arrested for killing wife in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: The MVP Police on Monday arrested Vemala Shiva, 32, for allegedly killing his wife Vemala Surya Kumari, 26, on August 6 by smothering her in his residence at Maddilapalem locality in Vizag city.

Shiva tried to depict the murder as a suicide. However, the police were suspicious of the circumstances surrounding the death



and conducted a thorough investigation. They found evidence that Shiva had killed his wife following a heated argument over financial issues.

The police charged Shiva with murder under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. He is currently in police custody and is being questioned.
