A 62-year-old man, Rajendra Bahadur, a Nepal national who was working as a watchman here, was on Friday arrested by Rajiv Gandhi International Airport police on charges of raping his two minor daughters repeatedly for the last one year.
According to the police, Bahadur, a resident of Ahmednagar in Shamshabad, was assaulting his daughters, aged 17 and 15 years, for a year now and had threatened them of dire consequences and even that he would kill them, if they revealed the matter to anybody. His
wife too had come to know of the rapes and had raised her voice, but was allegedly subdued into silence by Bahadur who thrashed her when she questioned him. He had also threatened her that he would kill their four daughters and one son.
The children then alerted the owner of the house in which they were staying on rent and it was the house owner who lodged a complaint with the police. Bahadur was arrested and produced before court, after which he was remanded in judicial custody.
