Man arrested for stealing laptops

An ex-convict was arrested by the Narayanguda police on Thursday for stealing laptops from hostels. He was arrested in 2014 and convicted by the Court, the police said.
Katkuri Purushotham Reddy (32), a native of Gudur village in Warangal district was earlier arrested by the Abids police for stealing laptops and other valuables. He was then convicted by a local Court and imprisoned for about six months.
On releasing from



jail in March 2015, he again started stealing the valuables. Since then, he had committed 15 offenses of theft, one at Narayanguda, two in Chikkadpally, one in Nallakunta, one each at Banjara Hills, OU, Chaitanyapuri, Saroornagar, Vanasthalipuram and Miyapur, three offenses in KPHB.  He had stolen 17 laptops, out of which 15 have been recovered, said Narayanguda police said adding that the accused has been remanded.
