Man arrests for allegedly raping,killing seven-year-old girl

Police arrested a 25-year-old man in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district following the law enforcement agency cracking the case of an alleged rape and brutal murder of a 7-year-old.

The girl had been dumped in a haystack in a field with her clothes partially torn after being murdered earlier this week.The accused, identified as Kanakam Shiva allegedly killed the girl to take revenge on her father. 

The police informed that Shiva’s brother committed suicide



recently by consuming pesticide. According to Shiva’s suspicions, it was due to the victim's father spoiling a potential love affair.In order to seek revenge for his brother's death, Shiva lured the child on December 4 evening and allegedly raped her before strangulating her to death on the outskirts of Gorikottapally village.

Police have registered a case under various sections of the IPC and under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
