Adilabad: Adilabad police on Friday arrested a notorious cheat for allegedly duping gullible youth by fleecing about Rs 5 crore with promise of providing them jobs in the postal department.
DSP K Narasimha Reddy said the accused Nagaram Kalyan Kumar, 32, was a native of Nizamabad, but settled in Hyderabad. He was the managing director of Four Square, a job consultancy service provider. He was detained and produced before a court in Hyderabad.
Kalyan Kumar cheated around 1,000 candidates by promising to provide employment opportunities in Indian postal department. He used to organize meetings with the jobless in a
function hall and then collect huge amounts from them under the guise of offering placements. He was absconding ever since eight employees of the consultancy were arrested on April 11 of 2018.
Two special teams were formed for nabbing the chairman, the mastermind of the scam. According to records of transactions recovered by cops, Kalyan duped several hundreds of the unemployed belonging to erstwhile Adilabad, Nizamabad and Khammam district by assuring to give jobs in the postal department. Fake appointment orders, laptop, registers were already recovered from the accused eight.
