Man held for harassing co-employee

Following a complaint from a woman, SHE teams have arrested A Sandeep (23) of Godavari Khani, Karimnagar District for mentally and physically torturing his co-employee.

The complainant stated she had a relationship with her friend and later the relationship broke up. But he continued to sending messages frequently and when she did not respond, the accused went to her office on Friendship Day and insulted, threatened and beat her in the office itself. Because of



his harassment, she stopped going to her office. In spite of the warnings given by her parents, he continued to harass her.

Unable to bear the harassment, she approached the SHE teams and lodged a complaint. The police caught him and handed over to the Banjara Hills PS. A case was registered under Section 354-A, 509IPC and the accused was sent to judicial remand. Police said, “women need not suffer in silence.
