Man kills his wife in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Suspecting his wife, one M. Vijay Kumar, 38, beheaded her at his sister’s house in Abdullapurmet on Tuesday, police said. Police said he asked the victim Pushpavathi to clean the floor. When she was doing so, he took out a chopper from his bag and beheaded her, police said. He then sat on the steps with the head and began wailing. Locals informed Abdullapurmet police, but Kumar fled by the time they reached.

13-year-old daughter and nine-year-old son, Abdullapurmet inspector Manmohan said. Pushpavati in 2014 had lodged a complaint with the Medipally police that Kumar was mentally and physically harassing her. He had been counselled at that time.
