Hyderabad: A woman was murdered allegedly by her husband at Ibrahimpatnam in Ranga Reddy district.
The victim Sarita (22) of Nalgonda district was married to Raju of Kandukur and the couple lived in their village in Kandukur mandal of Ranga Reddy district.
Sarita was staying at her parents house in Nalgonda district from last few weeks as she was pregnant. On Friday, Raju went to his in-laws place in Nalgonda and took Sarita along with him saying that he would take her to a hospital.
The next day Sarita went missing from her house and her body was later found near
Chintapally Gate in Ibrahimpatnam by few locals, who alerted the police.
The Ibrahimpatnam police identified the woman with the help of missing person details and photographs circulated in police WhatsApp groups. After identifying the woman, the Ibrahimpatnam police informed the Kandukur police about it.
It is learnt that on Sunday, Raju surrendered before the Kandukur police and admitted to killing his wife. The police are reportedly questioning him. The family members of Sarita told the police that Raju harassed her frequently and had demanded additional dowry.
