Man kills wife, 2 kids in Hyderabad; surrendered

An auto mechanic throttled his wife and two children to death before surrendering himself to the police on Tuesday. The incident happened at Meerpet.The accused is Surender, 32, from Lingampally. Two days ago, Surender, his wife and two children went to his in-law’s house at Shivanarayanapura in Almasguda for Ugadi.

On Tuesday morning, he asked his father-in-law and brother-in-law to get toddy. “When they went out to get toddy, Surender had an argument with his wife about a family matter. He was upset that



Varalakshmi was not taking care of his parents. In a fit of rage, he throttled her to death. 

Then Surender also throttled his two kids,” Vanasthalipuram ACP V Ravinder Reddy said.

The incident came to light when Surender’s in-laws returned home. “They rushed Varalakshmi and the kids to a hospital where they were declared brought dead,” the ACP said.

Surender surrendered before Meerpet police. A murder case was registered against him.
